10 Super Chic Dollar Store Halloween Decorations

Halloween is my least favorite holiday. It’s scary and well, Im afraid of the dark. I have always hated the cheesy orange decorations (Im a neutral kind of girl), the guts & the gore. But one day on a regular jaunt to my local Dollar Tree I found aisles full of halloween and for the first time instead of closing my eyes and praying for Christmas I went full Hocus Pocus.

Here are my top 10 halloween picks for $1!

  1. Black glass jar candles. Spooky but sophisticated. Chilling but chic. Line your sidewalk or front porch with them or run them down a long table. They’re spooky without screaming halloween.

2. Creepy Cloth. It comes in cream, black and charcoal grey. Great on mirrors, mantles, doors and railings!

3. Animal Skeletons. The dollar tree is filled with skeletons. My favorite being the frogs, but I couldn’t find them this year! The spiders are perfect for running up doors and walls. If you’re not into the spiders there are bats, birds and dogs too!

Try hanging bats with fishing line from porch ceiling!
Climb these Spider up walls, doors and mirrors.

4. Skulls. These come in large and mini sizes. Throw them in a bowl for an “easy creepy” hack if your lazy like me!

5. Battery operated mini lights. Choose from ghosts, pumpkins, bats or spiders!

6. Plastic Skeleton Hand Cups. Champagne flutes, wine goblets, stemless glasses and even shot glasses! Im OBSESSED with the champagne flutes and I don’t care who knows it. They are sooo good!!

7. RATS. Now these little guys actually flip me out. But they are so great running across your mantle or lurking up steps and on shelves! I don’t love the red eyes so I cover them with black sharpie, but you might like the beady eyes following you while you clean your house. For optimal rat infestation get some crawling and some sitting. It just works better!

8. Skeleton Parts. You can find lots of bones for $1. Full skeletons, mini ones, hands and arms!

9. 8×10 frames. Find some vintage victorian style photos & print them out Add them to these simple frames for a subtle-y spooky gallery wall or mix them in with your current pictures to really freak people out.

10. Black cut glass votive. Great for parties and adds a touch of classy/glam to the rat infestation.

BONUS!

Having a halloween style dinner party? These Black plates will do the trick. There is an entire set with 2 plates sizes, bowls and mugs! Add a napkin and a rat or skull on top and you are officially the queen of halloween.

These vampire fang ice cube trays! So fun for cocktails and punch bowls (do people still use punch bowls?) If we don’t I feel like we should. I couldn’t find these online but they were all over my local Dollartree! We tested them out and they are so cute!
