1. FOOD. The woman does not want to cook right now! Bring over dinner. lunch, a casserole – ANYTHING that only requires heating. No prep work. Something her husband can’t mess up. Better yet, order take out to her house! Download an app and order all her favorite Trader Joe’s snacks to her door step! She’s hungry, exhausted and probably forgetting to eat! Help a girl out!

2. SLEEP. If you are a close friend or family member tell her you are coming over to see the baby. When you get there hug her and pry that baby from her arms. Tell her (and dad too!) to go take a shower and a long nap. Assure them that you have everything under control. Nothing to worry about here. Let her sleep until she wakes up and claim your rightful thrown as most helpful visitor of all time.

3. For something extra special try a personalized piece of jewelry. Maybe with the baby’s initial(s) or birthdate in Roman numerals. I have this Yarra ring and love it, but GLDN has so many beautiful pieces to chose from and it can all be personalized. If you are her husband this would make such a thoughtful gift for your wife post baby! hint hint

4. A little self care – care package. Chances are she’s not really feeling like herself right now. Make a little bag of some beauty products to help her treat herself. I’m talking body lotions, lip balm and face masks. I used to keep a box of face masks in my bedside table and was known for face masking while pumping. Quite the sight. Both things require 10-15 minutes so, I mean why not? Kind of a match made in heaven if you ask me!

5. A lounge wear set. Soft, comfortable and easy to wear for a new Mama. Plus if she has to run out it’s cute enough to leave the house in too! This is the kind of outfit she can and probably will wear for days.
